Son of musicians, Florin Iliescu was born in Bucharest and began playing the violin at the age of five.

World-famous violinists including Christiane Edinger,Zakhar Bron,Leonidas Kavakos,Stefan Gheorghiu have formed Florin Iliescu’s violin technique and musicality.In addition he has received chamber music lessons from Walter Levin (Primarius of the LaSalle String Quartet).

Florin Iliescu is a member of various foundations all over the world. 

During his studies at the University of Music Lübeck, Florin Iliescu had his first orchestral performance as Deputy Concertmaster with the Lübeck Philharmonic at the age of 19. He gained further orchestral experience at the NDR Hamburg, the RSO Berlin, Frankfurt Opera, and the Beethovenorchestra.

 

Since 2018 he serves as the first concertmaster of HR              Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra (Germany).

2019   Florin Iliescu played together as a duo,with the renowned Violinist Gil Shaham,in the famous concert hall "Alte Oper" in Frankfurt.

Florin Iliescu plays on a Gioffredo Cappa Violin from 1716,kindly loaned by HR Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra.
